Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Nice day with a nasty ending.

What I really mean to say is that this day started off OK and continued like that until about 14:30 and then went rapidly to hell. And it's not the amount of work that needs to get done, but the amount of work that needs to get done to figger out what work needs to be done.

Essentially, then, everybody needed something done STAT, but they weren't really sure what they wanted as an end result or any real idea of what it might take to get there. And this included a whole spectrum of people, from receptionists to physicians.

But, being the wizards that we are, we got it all figgered out and properly done. Unfortunately, feathers were ruffled and then time must be spent smoothing them back down again.

Anyway, I got out of there at 17:00, a half-hour late... but my legs felt like I'd worked ten hours. Something to do with stress, I think.

Karen was doing some experimental cooking tonight and created a new kind of potato salad and a wonderful concoction of beans and ground chuck. It's no wonder that I'm fat. Well, I really can't blame Karen for that, I guess.

I spent most of the evening watching commercial TV with her... spin city, Frazier and scrubs. None of them worth enduring the commercials. That's the part I hate about commercial TV... the commercial part. Take away the commercials and it's really OK.

Once again, I got a crummy night's sleep last night... wound up still awake at 02:00, then at 04:30 I woke up without the CPAP on again. This time I put it back on and kept pounding the snooze alarm.

I had about six glasses of iced tea at supper last night, I shoulda known better'n that. Well, I did, actually. I thought about it and blew it off. I really love iced tea.

And coffee. Why, O'why, was I made to so love the very things that will kill me? Cigarettes and whisky and wild, wild caffeine...

Thanx for being here!
