Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

I did get to sleep earlier last night, but it was still pretty hard getting up this morning. Once I got up, it was OK, though.

Busy day at work... I was running the room today, and there seemed to be more running to that job than usual... my legs are hurting tonight, anyway.

On the other hand, I left an hour early today... always a good thing, well, up to a point, anyway. I really like leaving early, I never, never got to leave early when I worked nights, 'cause nobody else was there. So I have a lot of years to make up for.

I've finally got all of the pieces to build Kim's computer, so I'm gonna start on that tonight. It'll be a 450 with a burner... Patrick has been looking forward to getting a burner.

Karen and I went out to Best Buy to get a HD for it, and I bought some blank CDRs. After Karen and I ate at Cracker Barrel we went over to Kim's to pick up the old computer... I needed the Modem out of it... and as we were leaving I gave Patrick the CDRs. He wants to know when I'll be done with it.

In other news... the cable access is working again, finally! That was a frustrating time to get through, let me tell you! For a while there, my journal page was only part-way there, some people could see half of it, others just got 404s.

Karen is going to Wichita this weekend, he brother Chuck is coming in from Phoenix. Betty, Karen's mother, has quit eating. I'm not really sure if she knows what she's doing at this point but she might very well have chosen this route to go.

Charlie, Karen's dad, did just that... intentionally starved himself to death. The three kids, along with Betty, decided that if that's the way that he wanted it, that was OK... he'd expressed much earlier to them that he might do that. Nobody really likes it, but in our society it seems to be the only way to go when you can't get it done any other, more humane, way.

With the Alzheimer's, though, it's hard to tell. Anyway, I'm going to stay at home, I think. Andy and Karla will probably be going down with Karen, and maybe Matt, she's not sure yet.

So anyway. I'm going to go work on hardware now.

Thanx for being here!
