It seems like it was a long, long day, but I guess that it was really just the regular size. I got a crummy night's sleep is why it seemed long. I'm really liking this 08:00 to 16:30 schedule, though. For one thing, I get to see a lot more of Karen! Anyone who knows her would agree with me on that one. The other main reason is that I'm getting off an hour earlier, which means that I can actually see the sun in the evening... of course, that's happening now anyway, what with the days getting longer. Additionally, the radiologists get off at 17:00, and it was always such a pain in the ass to find one when I needed one between 16:50 and 17:30, when I could turn it over to someone else. Speaking of radiologists, we're having a retirement party for one of my favorites tomorrow, that's the guy whose party I'm cooking the chili for. Let it dangle, dammit. Anyway, this guy almost always wore khaki pants and a blue denim shirt to work, so most of us are going to wear that tomorrow in his honor. Of course, I have none that fit me, so I drug Karen out after work to get me some clothes... wound up buying an extra shirt, too. We also went to dinner at Furr's, we haven't been there in quite a while. We saw the old guy that we used to see in there when we went there more regularly. He wears rubber gloves, and covers all of his food unless he's actively eating it... like, he'll uncover a plate, which is protected by an overturned plate, only long enough to get what he wants with his fork, then it's covered back up again. He wears a surgical mask when he's not eating, too. Long, white dirty beard. Weird fellow... bet JD and Tyler remember him. I miss out on a lot of things in spite of my good intentions, dammit. I gotta quit that!
