Nobody wrote in with any recipes for cats, though... Karen was up late last night, she told me that she came to bed at 00:30, having watched the Oscars to their completion. I got up with the first buzz of the alarm today, surprising myself, Karen and the cats. Shaved, showered, was at work before 07:00. Cold, too. I have to walk about 1 quarter mile to the north to get into the hospital... well, I don't *have* to, but I do feel that hardship is a good character-builder. I should have given up on that one when I was in grade school, but no, it persists. It is well noted, though, that one should get to choose their own hardships. Those imposed upon them from without, well, that's called Tyranny. Kinda the opposite of democracy. I've seen it a lot in various marriages throughout the years, even suffered a little of that kind myself. Just as yesterday was cold and kinda rainy, today was cold and kinda snowy. The first thing that I did this morning after I put my pants on was go out and get the paper. And the deck was covered with ice... luckily, I tested it before venturing out, so I was very, very careful. Once I got to work I called Karen to let her know to be careful... the roads weren't bad, except for the bridges, but the ice on the deck, when you aren't expecting it... it can lay you low. I've been there a few times, in fact, about ten years ago, I partially tore my main thigh muscle in the front when my feet went out from under me. Broke a few ribs, too. Hurt, bunches. Anyways, there were plenty of wrecks on the bridges this morning, when people who aren't smart enough to drive drove. Is it really that hard to figger out? The pavement on bridges freezes faster than pavement *not* on bridges. Speaking of computers, I'm having trouble again, did some tweaking on the network, now I can't un-tweak it. I think that what happened was that a network card went bad quinkidinkally. That's gotta be it, can't ping it, network doesn't know it. There is way too much to say tonight, and I really don't have time. O'yeah, speaking of time, I'm on call tonight, and I got called in by the file-room clerk. When I got there, the patient was already done and gone. The clerk is kinda new, and she didn't know that there were three other people working who did CTs... I'm sure that my boss will set her straight. When I get called in, I don't question, I just come on in. I always appreciated it when the people that I called in did that... none of this whining for me. I never get called unless they really, really need me to come in. Hardly never, anyway. Bedtime.
