Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

A coupla readers have written in with recipes for both raccoons and for opossums. I appreciate the sentiment, but Karen would probably not participate. In fact, when she saw the 'coons Friday night, she remarked about how cute they were, and I suggested (in jest) that we get rid of the cats and keep the 'coons. There was a long pause, maybe because she was considering it, or because she couldn't figger out if I was serious or not.

Cold, rainy day today, just like it was supposed to be. So far, no appreciable amount of rain, just drizzle and a heavy mist.

21:24...
This day got later quicker than I wanted it to... Brian called about 10:30, and Karen went over to Matt's and picked him up. Then they went out for a while, and so did I... I went to walgreen's to get some 'scripts and then out to Best Buy. I did well at Walgreen's... walked right by the candy and the licorice and never gave it a glance. Well, OK, a glance, but I kept my hands in my pockets.

I did even better in Best Buy... I wanted to get more memory for the laptop, and it was on sale, 128MB for $49, and I needed another card for the camera, I was jealous of JD after I bought him more for his! Anyways, it wasn't supposed to be on sale, but they had left last week's sign up, so they had to give it to me at the sale price, and I got a $20 rebate, so that only cost me $40. So I felt pretty good about my shopping today.

Which reminds me, I have to go in to work at 07:00 in the AM, so I better wrap this up. I also have to get stuff for chili, we're having a party on Wednesday and that's gonna be my contribution, people liked it the last time I brought it.

Back to this afternoon... KU won handily, much more easily that I had anticipated. Uconn, however, folded in on the Maryland team, so it'll be KU and the Terrapins or turtles or whatever they are.

Karen and I took Brian home about 18:00, and it's about a two-hour round trip. I went down to the basement to put RH 7.2 on my machine down there, but I found out too late that the second disk of the set that I bought was the same as the first one, so it's sitting down there half-way installed, dammit. I just got the set about a week ago, bought them on eBay for about $5, and I'm sure that the guy'll send me another one, but still....

Tomorrow's Monday, and Karen is watching the oscars, probably be up until midnight... I'll be asleep long before then, though!

Thanx for being here!
