Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Well, this weekend is pretty well blown, but I did a lot of relaxing and even some thinking. I was not taking wither one very seriously, of course.

Lacee stayed over last night, and her and Karen got up fairly early, but I didn't. I was kinda dozing off and on from the time the sun came up, luxuriating in the fact that I really didn't have to get up, I really didn't want to get up, and I wasn't going to get up until I was good and ready.

Tomorrow, however, is a whole different story. Going in at 08:00 from now on, and that's gonna be nice. Getting off about noon would be nice, too, but that's not gonna happen for quite a while.

Getting off at 16:30 is gonna be pretty nice too, though.

I didn't really get much done around here today... well, I fixed an old vacuum cleaner and that's about it. Of course, I did some vacuuming to make sure that it worked OK. Then I worked some on the linux systems, made some major progress in my thinking there. Not exactly an "Ah-HA!" but pretty close.

I had opened up my firewall to test the Apache server on the slow machine, and there were all sorts of strange things happening with it, so I looked at the logs and found that there were people out there trying to do nefarious things with my machine! Luckily, they weren't able to, but they were probinb everything that they could, looking for some little crack that they could exploit. I think that there is some kiddie-cracker program out there, 'cause they were doing the same things in the exact same order.

I was kinda planning to go to Best Buy, 'cause I have $40 worth of gift cards, but I really couldn't think of anything that I might want... pretty sad, ain't it? What I should do is buy a coupla DVD movies, since I have a DVD player on the laptop... see what the DVD scene is all about. I think that I can hook the laptop up to the TV...

Anyways, I've wasted the evening away, so I better go bathe and hit the sack... today's picture, again, is of Lacee....

Thanx for being here!
