As my mother says, it's February the Last. And I think that I'm glad to see the last of February. Not because I don't like February, it's because I like March. And I don't really know why I like March, 'ceptin' it has my birthday in it, but that's not something that I really pay much attention to any more. No, I like it 'cause it comes right before April, which has the best thunderstorms of the year. Well, so does May, come to think of it. But they can't both be best, I think that it's a tie, then. This morning... well, I slept in, quite unintentionally. Last night I filled the humidifier about ten minutes before I went to bed, and I changed the alarm clock back to 07:30 from 06:30. I must have thought that I set the alarm, but I don't think that I did, dammit. So, about 09:00 this morning, I stretched and yawned and woke up, felling really pretty excellent... until I looked at the clock. I had been starting to congratulate myself on how easy it had been to get up. Heh, joke's on me. So, any morning that starts off with such of a fiasco has to get better, right? Wrong. Absolutely nothing went well at work today. Additionally, we're getting a snowstorm starting early Friday morning, so Karen had to drive down to Wichita tonight... which means that I didn't get to see her before she left. Luckily, she got off at 15:30, so she got to drive most of the way there before it got dark. I wound up staying an extra hour and a half, some poor elderly lady was in a car wreck... drove through her garage or something like that. Anyway, she need lots of CTs, so I stayed and did them, even though I wasn't on call. The tech on call has still been pretty sick, and I hope that she didn't get called in after I left.... So, here I am, batchin' it for the weekend. I should really try to get some stuff done around the house, or at least get the taxes done....
