It was a long ol' Monday, it was... and it's not over yet, dammit. Well, maybe it is, if I'm lucky. Right now, I can't stop yawning. I think that I slept pretty good last night, but I don't know for sure, that was *way* too long ago for me to remember. So I did get up pretty much on time, and I got to work on time, but that was the last thing that happened in a timely manner all day! We were simply inundated with patient requests, and we were doing them as fast as we could. Then the tech that gets off at 15:30 got off. Then the tech that got off at 16:30 got off. But when 17:30 rolls around, there's nobody left but me, and the patients keep rolling in. Well, that's OK, 'cause I'm on call, but still... I got to go home at around 18:30, but I was called back in before I had a chance to read my email. I usually read my email as soon as I get home, but I thought that I'd show some restraint today, and eat supper first. So I ate supper, and then I took my shoes off... and then the phone rang. No biggie, just more patients than the evening crew could handle and still do CTs. I was only in for about an hour or so, and I only really worked the last fifteen minutes, since they were doing other stuff to one of my patients. O'yeah! I almost forgot to mention, it's still winter here in NE Kansas! Yep, it started snowing sometime this afternoon and it's still coming down. Not a lot of accumulation, but damn, is it cold! North wind, y'know. So my plan for tonight is to go to sleep early and sleep well. Which reminds me of a Steve Wright joke: OK, that's it.
"Good morning! Did you sleep well?"
"No, I made a few mistakes..."
