Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

15 February 2002

I did get a good night's sleep, about 8 hours, and I woke up feeling pretty good. Work was... well, work. Nothing too interesting, and I did get outta there a little early, thinking that I would go by the bank before I went home.

Unfortunately, *everybody* decided to go by the bank on the way home, the line was out into the street, so I passed and went on home.

It took me about fifteen minutes to pack, since Karen had opted out of the trip... she has been going all out for a few weeks, and she wanted to just have a weekend to herself. And Lacee, of course.

During the time I was packing, I was burning a CD of my favorite Doors songs.

I got on the road about 18:15 after going to a different ATM. I listened to KANU, the public station in Lawrence, until the opera started. Can't stand opera... probably just 'cause I don't understand it. Anyway, then I put the CD player on... 80 minutes of the doors, 80 minutes of Narada and about 20 minutes of Pink Floyd and I was in Enid.

I was planning on stopping at the Conestoga and eating, but I decided that I didn't really want all that grease... I love the place, but.... anyway, I do recommend it, it's at I-35 and US 60, the Tonkawa exit.

Karen had mentioned that she wanted a Braum's malt before I left, and I'd been thinking about that, so I waited until I got into Enid and went in and had a large chocolate malt. I didn't even finish it all, took me about 15 minutes.

I got to Mom's about 22:45 and she was still up, so we chatted for a while and now I'm going to go to bed, it's 00:45 and I'm pretty damned tired.

Thanx for being here!
