Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Well, we got a notice in the mail today that my wages at St Francis will be garnisheed also. This makes me even unhappier with my employer, of course.

And so far, none of the documents say how much is being taken out.

And the hospital cannot say how much we owe them, if any.

What is really irritating is the helpless feeling, of course.

On a lighter note, I called the bank and I will most likely not be out any money from the computer store rip-off. I went over at noon, and I stopped to eat at a Burger King on 10th street. Made me remember why I don't like BK, by the way... anyway, as I was getting ready to leave there was a wreck on the corner, some girl made a left-hand turn in front of a truck. Probably totaled both vehicles out, but neither driver appeared to be hurt.

Nothing much interesting at work, it seems to be getting more and more routine... boring is probably a more appropriate word. I really miss the adreneline of working in an emergency department environment. Once you've had the life-and-death action, nothing else will really suffice, I'm afraid.

We still get emergency patients, but only after they've been stabilized and pretty well diagnosed. Not the same thing at all. We do diagnose the occasional head bleed, but that's a whole different breed of emergency medicine.

JD will be leaving at 05:00 in the morning, going to KCI on the KCI Roadrunner and catching a flight to DC via St Louis. He'll be under the kindly care of his uncle Jon and aunt Lynn, if cousin Sam approves. I'll miss him, but he'll only be gone for six days. I think that he'll stick around for a coupla days after he gets back... I really do envy him this trip... I remember my first trip to DC and the marvels that are there... a first trip anywhere is pretty exciting, of course, but the Smithsonian...

Today's picture is one that I found on an old hard drive, don't know the date or circumstances, but I sure do look a lot skinnier... I think it was a coupla years ago, at least.

O'yeah... Sunday is the day that we should all observe the sancity of life, according to baby Bush. This means, I guess, that he's gonna repeal all of the death sentences nationwide? That'll be the day I'll cerebrate. Even notice how all of the anti-abortion people... that's *pro* life... are for the death penalty? Kinda makes me wanna be against it, just on general prinicples...

Once again, time has been sneaking by, and it's bedtime. This seems to happen on a pretty regular basis any more...

Thanx for being here!
