OK, for those of you who might be interested, the NilkyCam is back! For those of you who aren't interested... nah, nevermind.
Sometimes I remember that my mother reads this... and sometimes I forget. Anyway, (I have noticed that I begin at least one, if not more, paragraphs with "anyway" or "Anyways" on a daily basis. Is this pathological? Or just stupid?) I went to sleep early last night and I slept all of the way through with the C-PAP on. And I feel much better today. I went in early, 08:00, 'cause one of the other techs was gone today, and it was busy all day long. I was supposed to leave at 16:30 but I stayed until 17:45. And I found out what I was doing wrong all of the years vis-a-vis impressing females. Yep, I've been doing it wrong all along. We had a patient come in who has had chemo and who has spent a lot of time in hospitals and, consequently, had a lot of needles poked into her. And nobody could ever hit a vein on her, so she had a port put in... this is a device that is implanted below the skin and threaded into a vein, Very nice for giving meds, but it won't handle the flow needed to do a CT. So anyway, I hit an antecubital with the first stick, at which time she told me that I really knew how to impress a girl. So now I know. All of these years I've been using candy and whisky and flowers and failing miserably and all I really needed to do was poke 'em with a needle and hit a vein the first time! Live and learn. And now that I've learnt, I'm not even in good enough shape to take advantage of my new-found knowledge. Besides, Karen would kill me. I have the whole weekend off, and I think that I need it to get somewhat rested up... I've been on call for the most part of two weeks. No plans, we'll just see what happens, and if nothing happens that'll be just OK too. O'yeah, I do have some plans... I have to buy some more socks. And another pair of pants, too. That'll be exciting, heh? And I'm gonna get another good sleep tonight. Starting really soon.
