Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

I managed to get up earlier today, somewhat. I stayed up until 03:30 last night, though, so I'm worse for the weather.

Speaking of which, it's been pretty crummy here, cool and cloudy, threatening rain but never quite coming through, for several days. In Texas, however...

JD and Tyler finally got to see a tornado! Yep, JD said it was about a quarter of a mile from them, and he got a picture to prove it. I would post it up here, but he didn't tell me that I could, so I'll wait until tomorrow...

I really messed up big today, computer-wise. I decided that I'd download MSIE 6.0, their newest browser version. Bad move, very bad move. The little globe just sits there and spins. It does spin really, really fast, though... just doesn't get anywhere.

Chili. Smells delicious, but I'm not eating any tonight... Karen made some chicken/rice casserole that was wonderful for supper, and I know that if I have a bowl of chili that I'll be up all night, and I don't want to increase the liklihood of that...

Anyway, today has been taken up by messing around with the machines and accomplishing nothing, and then the chili-making. O'yeah, and I've done a few loads of laundry in the meantime...

I'm having a problem with the camera, it seems to have lost its sharpness... everything is just slightly blurry. Yes, I tried it with a tripod, 'cause I thought that maybe I was moving and not really noticing it... the pictures that I took of JD at his graduation were kinda out of focus, but it seems to be worse now. I guess that I'll have to get out the manual now...

I saw a camera at Best Buy yesterday... 5+ gigapixels, nice zoom and lens (not a point'n'shoot deal) for a grand. Good digital cameras... they're gonna be affordable before I die anyway!

That doesn't mean that I can afford one, however. But I am reminded of something Errol Flynn was reputed to have said:"A guy who dies with $10,000 in the bank is a failure!" his idea of what to do with money was, well, to spend it, every last bit. I'm not quite that liberal, but I don't plan on leaving my kids much... well, yeah, they deserve more, but then so did I, and look what happened to me!

Instead I will leave them this... 5.5 years of tripe. That's a lot of tripe, heh? And still counting, don't forget....

Thanx for being here!
