Notes

A better day, partly because I did get a little more sleep last night. But mostly because I decided that it was going to be a better day. I like it when I can do that.

I was still up a coupla hours last night, though, I really think that I did jinx myself about sleeping, or rather *not* sleeping... I hate it when I do that.

I left work about two hours early... we were *that* unbusy. And it was a beautiful day yet again... supposed to be cooler tomorrow, back to what is normal for November. It was downright warm today, close to 80F.

Karen got home pretty early too, and she and I looked for coffee filters for about an hour and never found them. We both remember putting them someplace where we wouldn't forget... so much for that. Either that, or we put them there and remembered and used them all and forgot that we used them all. Either way, it's frustrating.

We then took a rather long walk... and I really can't do long walks very well, my damned legs hurt when I do that. But once you get somewhere, you gotta get back... So I just go slow. Makes me feel really old-mannish.

So anyway, when we get home, I decide to find my birth certificate. I found Karen's really quickly last week, and I figgered that mine would be close by. but no. Couldn't find the damned thing, gave up after an hour and ordered it off of the web.

I looked at several services, the highest one was $105.95 and the lowest one was $25.00. Guess which one I chose?

Which leads me to the next topic... companies paying for high spots in search engines. The further down on the list that I looked, the cheaper the price. I didn't get to the point where they were giving them away, though... just didn't look long enough?

$25 probably isn't a bad price for this service, that's using regular mail... for an extra $15 I coulda had fed express.

I'm taking steps to re-finance our house, with the latest cuts, it's gonna be well worth it. Still, it's a lotta hassle. And I've gotta get everything together before Friday morning at 08:00... Two years tax returns, two months bank statements, one month paycheck stubs, and all of the info from our present loan...

I'll leave with a general philosophical question: is there ever enough sleep this side of the grave?

Thanx for being here!
