A short analysis of why the government would lie to us:
What they're gonna tell us:
Well, damn! 'Pears that our very own government has been lying to us about the number and severity of the anthrax cases. We will soon see some postal workers... er... go postal? I can't really blame them for being pissed.
And....
Anyway, governments will do what governments will do, and, in general, there are gonna be some people who don't like it. That would be me, in case anyone hasn't figgered that out. And a lot of other people, too. Although we do tend to be quiet... it's self-preservation.
Well, I guess that I'm not really very quiet, at least not here in cyberspace.
Anyway, Karen asked me tonight who I though was behind the anthrax mailings, and I instantly replied, "Right-wing anti-abortionist Christians!" I hadn't really thought about it, but those yahoos ( now that I've looked it up) have been sending abortion clinics stuff that they said was anthrax for years.
So... why hasn't the government told us who planned and set up the terrorists of the WTC?
Why haven't they caught the people who are sending the anthrax?
What else... what else do they not want us to know?
No, I'm not turning into a serious conspiracy theorist here... I'm just curious. They've had a lot of time, and money and manpower and equipment have not been a problem. So what is it?
Do they know... and they aren't telling us? And if that is so, what does that mean? That the people who are sending the anthrax are friends of the government in some way or another? Or maybe a specific agency is simply targeting people that they don't like... after all, they have been given free rein to take down the terrorists... why not get a few people that you think are just bad eggs along the way? Who would ever know?

And what if, in this agency, was a guy who was a secret anti-abortionist... or, what the hell, maybe a pro-abortionist wanting to make the anti-abortionists look bad....
Where would it end? Who would know when it ended? Would it ever end? Why would it end?
Way too many questions. Especially for someone who doesn't trust the people who are supplying the answers...
