For some reason or another, I didn't think that I was going to be busy on call today. I was really wrong about that. Did have some interesting cases, though. Not that that made me feel any better... Let's see... a broken neck, an unsuspected pelvic fracture, a cerebral bleed, a ureteral stone when the referring doc was expecting to find a perforated viscus... plus a bunch of cases that weren't interesting at all. O'well, it makes the day go faster, anyway. I always feel kinda guilty when I talk about interesting cases... but it's not my fault that these people were so afflicted. In fact, sometimes, if it weren't for me, they would be undectectedly afflicted, and maybe fatally treated for something that they didn't have. Unfortunately, this day got me way out of the mood to put up with the crowds that would accompany the trip to see George Carlin, so I decided to skip it. I'd kinda set up some coverage, but I didn't really feel comfortable about it... and Andy kinda wanted to go, so I gave him my ticket. And it's almost 23:00 and they aren't home yet... Karen and Kim and Andy and Matt went... Anyway, this day has made me tired, so it's off to bed with me...
