I'm tired of politics and current events... tired of worrying about the safety of our country, our constitution, our future. I'm just tired of thinking about it all, dammit, so I'm taking the day off.
Today was an OK day... not much work got done, since we didn't get up until 10:30, and it started raining at 11:00. It has pretty much rained all day, we've probably got three inches of rain. Sleeping late wasn't enough... I took a three-hour nap, too. I like naps. Naps are about the only reason why I would want to retire... the height of luxury. Naps only really work for daytime people... I never could enjoy a nap properly when I was working nights. Speaking of which, it's been about three months, and I think that I'm getting used to sleeping nights. I'm not really getting used to working days, though. O'well, I worked nights a long, long time. Karen and I went with Kim and Patrick and Lacee out to Sam's this afternoon, Karen and I mostly just to have something to do. We arrived when it was pouring, and the place was packed. I just kinda looked around at stuff, I was thinking about buying some tie-downs, but they were all out... I think that JD and Tyler have all of the ones that I bought about ten years ago, time for a fresh supply. They have a little cafe at Sam's, hot dogs and such, and Karen got a root beer float, which we shared. It seems that I periodically forget about root beer floats, and it's such a delight when I have one after a coupla years without.
