It seems that my opinion of Condit is shared by almost everyone in America... if you can believe what the media is saying. And yes, I do think that, in general, the media have more integrity than any politician... and no, that's not saying much, is it?
I had an interesting and enjoyable day at work today, I think probably because I got a good night's sleep last night, finally. Once again, it rained most of the night. We've got more than six inches of rain the last three days. I got to leave early from work, too... then when Karen got home, we had to run some errands, then we baked a coupla cakes to take to Wichita for Deb's birthday. It's fun working with Karen in the kitchen, we don't do that very much and we should do it more often. We've been trying to talk Lacee into going to Wichita with us tomorrow, but she says haughtily that she "has other plans". I tried again tonight, I called her when we got home, but she was outdoors playing, so I told Kim to have her call me. When she did call, I asked her when she wanted me to pick her up in the morning. This confused her greatly, and she asked me why, and I told her so that she could go to Wichita with us. She hemmed and hawed around, so I finally asked her if she just didn't want to go, and she finally admitted it and kinda apologised for not wanting to go. I told Karen that this is the beginning of the end for her and Lacee... this is the first time that she's refused a trip with Karen. She's starting to develop other interests and other people to hang out with now, and she won't appreciate Karen ever again with the intensity that she has up until now. Interesting to watch, but not much fun for Karen. On the other hand, Karen can now focus all of her attention on me! Speakig of which, Kim thinks that I'm around way too much... More rain tonight, then it should clear up for the rest of the weekend... we'll be back Sunday, when I'll catch up here.
