By golly, it was another day! Actually much more interesting than yesterday, mostly because I woke up to go to the bathroom at 02:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. Well, I did go to sleep about 06:30 and I finally got up at 08:00 after the alarm had been going off for an hour in my ear... It wasn't bad, though, and it was a more interesting day for several reasons. And I brought home a graphic This is a fantastic program and it tosses them pixels (actually voxels) around at an amazing speed... it's a full 3-D program with instant response, even though it's doing a 128-bit 1028 cubit bit volume. That's one helluva lot of data. In millions of colors... Anyway, part of my job is to find something useful to do with the images. Other than to just look at them. The problem is, everyone is quite comfortable with the old, two-dimensional way of doing stuff, so in order to sell, it's gotta do something better or faster or clearer or something... being pretty just isn't enough. Another problem is... we still have to print the pictures on a gray-scale printer... and they're never gonna be pretty enough to convince anybody that way. Color printers are expensive, and expensive to run, too. Karen and I and Lacee went out to Sam's when I got home from work... stocked up on stuff, and I bought a coupla pairs of pants, one size up. And I really feel guilty about it, too. But none of my pants are comfortable, so.... well, now I have one pair that fit my gut. I forgot to mention that JD corrupted me... got to Atomica and you'll see what I mean. Just what I needed... another vice. Thanx, JD and Annette! Really tired now, I don't know how I've stayed up for so long, it's past 21:00 already!
