Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

I'm glad that this day is over, too.

I spent most of the morning out in the hot sun looking a vehicles. Not much fun, even when the weather is nice.

Every car that I looked at and every dealer that I visited made me think that the Camry that we looked at last night (and the night before) was probably the best value that we were gonna get.

So when I picked up Karen, we went by one more dealer, just so that she could see what I'd been through all day long... we spent about 45 minutes looking at Fords... I was kinda impressed with them, but not with the prices.

To make a long story short, we've pretty much decided on the 98 Camry. The price is right and both Karen and I really like it. Yeah, it's way too much money, but what isn't.

We have never bought a car this new or this expensive. Well, I did buy a new car back in '69, a firebird. I think that it was less than $2000 then. And my first wife and I bought an international scout in '75 or so... that one wasn't new, but damned near, I think that it was a demo or something.

I didn't make it in to the hospital today, I forgot about it until later in the afternoon when I didn't really have time. I do have to go in Friday though for an hour or so.

And, if all goes right, Karen and I will make a run down to Enid this weekend. If it doesn't go well, it'll be next weekend. If it goes really really bad and the world does actually end we won't be going anywhere. But that can't happen, I've got too much to do.

Speaking of things that I have to do... I still haven't hooked up the ice-maker on the fridge yet. That'll be my project tomorrow.

Thanx for being here!
