Well, I'm glad that this day is over. Not that it was a bad day or anything like that, I'm just glad that it's over. I wound up working all day though, which wasn't really my plan at all. It seems that my boss wanted for me to see a PACS presentation... but then she forgot to provide coverage for me to do that. So I'll wind up going up to the hospital sometime tomorrow for a coupla hours, which was not in my plans. Additionally, I had to stay clear to 17:30, since there was a multiple-injury trauma case that couldn't come over until 16:45. And I had told Karen that I thought I was going to get off early, and she was planning on me picking her up at 16:30... she had to work an extra hour. However, I did make it up to her.... We went out to a car lot and she drove a Toyota Camry and she was pretty impressed. After that, we went out to Furrs and ate... haven't been out there for a long time. Still good food, of course, and it wasn't very crowded tonight, but it was still early when we were there. I looked up the blue book stuff on the Camry, and the guy at the lot (Andy's friend) had it priced at $1500 below book. This was the marked price, not a negotiated price... I looked it up for the other vehicles that he had, and they were consistently under the blue book by 10-15%. I'll ask him about that tomorrow... Tomorrow I'm gonna hit a few more lots, taking along the digital camera and a notebook, so I can show Karen after she gets off of work. I'm not really looking forward to this whole ordeal... but it must be gotten through, and it will be.
