Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Relax... no excitement today.

I had my stress test and passed with flying colors. Well, OK, that's stretching it a bit, but I passed. I didn't get up to 140, but made 130, which is not too shabby. And I did two full minutes longer than I did in May of 2000.

After the doc left, though, during the resting phase, I started a bigeminal pattern and maintained that for about five minutes. Bigeminal is when every other beat is a PVC... a useless contraction. It's not really bad in itself, but it can point to other conduction problems.

Of course, by not smoking, most of my arteries will probably be full caliber in five years or so, so I won't need to worry about additional damage for many years. Theoretically. In reality, I will insist in worrying about whatever I want to worry about, and I may just decide to not worry about anything.

I came home and took another shower, then went to work, I got there about 11:00. Of course, I was again sweat-soaked by the time that I got there... the days continue to be hot and humid, and I continue to drive a non-air-conditioned truck...

Since I'm on call tonight, I stayed over and did a coupla emergency-type patients after I was scheduled to leave... I got outta there about 18:15, and Andy and Matt and Karen had just got there with the new 'fridge and freezer.

It took a while to get them unloaded but it was done... the old 'fridge is sitting in a different place in the kitchen, with stuff gradually going out from it into the new one. I need to get some tubing for the icemaker and hook it up before I can consider the new one completely installed... and we need to find something to do with the old one when we get it emptied.

Karen has already got her favorite pictures attached to the new one, though.

This is going to be short, 'cause the stress test was, well, stressful, and I didn't get to sleep until after 03:00 last night. And the sun is about ready to go down, and so shall I.

Thanx for being here!
