I went to sleep early last night, around 21:00 or so. Very tired, I was. Slept well all night long, didn't get up until my alarm went off at 07:11.
We had a busy morning, but just odds and ends in the afternoon. My last patient was an add-on, CT head, and she got there at 16:30. I clocked out at 16:50 and I was home shortly after 17:00. The cable guy was supposed to be there between 17:00 and 19:00, and two of them came at 18:30. When I got home, I unhooked the TVs and hooked the cablemodem up directly and it worked. Unfortunately, nilknarf.net is still down. I did write liquidweb a nasty letter, it'll probably be ignored. On the other hand, I'm pretty well satisfied with the Cox cable people. Still not really sure if they've solved the problem, but they've been trying... So far, no calls tonight. Well, I really did get called right at 19:00, but the lady that called me said, "Oh, wait a minute... I think that the other CT Doug just walked in!" and sure enough, he had, so I didn't have to go in. I don't think that I'll get by so lightly tomorrow, though. It would be nice, but not very likely. Thunderstorms to the north, but I doubt that we'll get any precipitation, they're moving pretty slowly and will probably peter out before they get here. Lotsa fireworks locally, though. I just spent about five minutes outside watching, and when I came in I told Karen how weird it was to go outside and not smoke. Still doing that... not smoking, I'm talking about. It did get pretty close tonight, though, I don't know why... I took a pill, I haven't taken one since Sunday. I think that a good portion of the effect of the pill is placebo. It's odd that thinking that way would still allow the thing to be effective. If I knew *fer sure* that it was a placebo, would it have the same effect? Or would I just need an even stronger placebo? Do they even *make* stronger placebos? So, I probably won't be able to post this tonight, so I'll just save it up and post it while I can. Tonight I can go to sleep relatively early again, and I'm gonna do that...
