Disappointed. No extra time off while JD's here, dammit. They couldn't find anyone to cover for me.
So it's back to work tomorrow night. Seven more nights, then I'm done with it. And good riddance, I say. Ten years is long enough. I think that I'll be glad to get back on a more regular schedule, too. This turning around every week has been not working for the last year or so... it seems that my week off is just not structured enough or something. Maybe I'm just not disciplined enough to provide my own structure. I'll know in a month or so, I guess. If this doesn't work out, there is a perennial lack of people willing to work third shift. I do think that it'll work out, though. I'm just not as enthusiastic as I hoped that I'd be by now, and that kinda worries me. JD and I didn't do much today at all, spent all of our time online mostly. This evening, we called my brother Dan and talked his ear off, that was enjoyable. I think that JD and I might go out to see him next winter... There was a foul odor in the fridge the last few days, and JD and I decided to tackle that tonight. We wound up cleaning the lower half of the fridge and tossing out a lot of stuff. Nasty job, but it smells much better in there now. So we did get something accomplished today! I'm still trying to figger out if I can stay up all night... I'm really tired right now, it's about 02:30. I do no that no matter what I do, I'm gonna mess up and not be able to sleep enough before I go in tonight. And, since it really doesn't matter what I do, I think that I'll go to sleep...
