So I went to sleep at 02:00 or so and I got up at 07:45. But I'm not gonna worry about it, 'cause that's silly. I'll only have to do this Wednesday night thing one more time, after all!
And, as usual, I spent the greater part of the day trying to sleep. I don't really think that I'll sleep that much better when I go on days, but at least I'll only be facing eight hours of work instead of ten or twelve. I could be pleasantly surprised, though... pleasant surprises are nice. In the transition, I lost all of my old email addys (where does outlook keep those damned things, anyway?) so it's not likely that I'll write to you unless you write to me first and I can reply... this doesn't apply to family, of course... I've got those memorized. Cool here, almost late fall-like, cold north wind, cloudy, etc.... I kinda like it. Lacee has been over here while Kim went to the tanning booth... that is soooo stupid! Tanning is so fake on anyone over 21... Of course, I'm not one for fashion at all. But... I *am* for basic honesty. Tans promote the idea that you don't have to work for a living and that you spend your time in the pool enjoying your leisure. Of course, it used to mean that you had to work in the hot sun all day... admittedly, some people still do this, but they don't go to tanning booths. Anyway, Lacee must've had a hard day, she fell asleep on my chair watching TV. Today was the next-to-the-last day of school for her, and all of the kids were off Monday and Tuesday due to the water supply problem... which turned out to not be a problem, only a suspected, theoretical one. So everyone in the county boiled their water for two days... whatta waste of energy! Of course, it would have been a whole different story if the theory was right and they hadn't told anyone. An interesting note on that... last week sometime, the city water commissioner had the bottled water dispenser removed from city hall, saying that the city water was the best that there is. Matt delivers water for the company, so I'd paid attention to that story... and now this happens. Bet that guy has a red face! Back to work. I'm not ready, like I usually am... but that matters not. Off to save those lives!
