Yet another beautiful Kansas day! I'm missing out on the all, dammit.
I went to bed at 21:00 last night, got up at 04:00. Went to see the dentist and he finished up on the root canal. Hurt me again, he did.
Before Karen left this morning, I was sitting in the computer room and I had a mosquito bite my foot. Then I noticed several of the buggers flying around. As I'd mentioned earlier, I have a torn screen in my room that the cats use.
Also, right outside the window, is a hot tub, unused. With, unfortunately, some stagnant water in it... Breeding mosquitoes by the hundreds. Thousands, probably. I went out and looked down into the water and saw that the surface was teeming with the larval form of the little bastards.
So I got out the hose and the vacuum and started working. Before very long, I had most of it done, them little critters gasping out their lives on the ground.
And, naturally, my back was hurting. So I quit, the job unfinished, but the brooder has been shut down. Now I need some DDT, I do.
This should have occurred to me before, but something has to bite me on the ass (or the foot, in this case) to get me going on something sometimes.
I really hate being lazy. I don't really think that I always was, but I could be wrong.
I need to get into my sleep-seeking mode now...
