Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

I did go to sleep shortly after dark last night, and I slept about twelve hours. It was nice, and I do remember having pleasant dreams, the kind that, when you feel yourself waking up out of, you try to get back to sleep and into the dream.

I have no idea what the dreams were about, though, just that they were pleasant. I do remember waking up several times with the same feeling.

Mom had a pot of coffee going when I got up, and when Karen go up we had cereal for breakfast and then went for a walk. We went by the donut shop, but we resisted temptation and walked right on by. Karen is doing the weight-watcher thing again, and I'm kinda off-handedly participating. She's doing really well on it.

Karen and I decided that Mom need one of those George Foreman grilles, so we went up to Walgreens and they were on sale... we got her a cordless phone, too, I hope that it works for her... she plans on carrying it around with her all of the time.

So tonight we had some chicken done in the aforementioned grill... it was pretty good, and Karen and Mom fixed some rice to go with it. Healthy, healthy, healthy.

My aunt Ene called this evening... her husband Eldon is in the hospital in OK city on a vent, has been for a month. She told me that she wasn't going to go see him any more, that it didn't do either of them any good. We're going to stop by and see her on the way home tomorrow.

Karen's getting all enthusiastic about flowers and stuff. She tends to do that when she's around Mom for any length of time. And we have seen some really neat flowers and gardens when we were walking... there seems to be a lot more of that here than there is in Topeka.

So we're going to go home and get to work on the yard. Yeah, right.

I think that I'm going to bed early again tonight too. Probably going to get up earlier in the morning, though. It has been humid and windy today here, and warm enough to be uncomfortable. Mom said that the storms missed Enid Friday night too... wonder where they went? There was evidence of heavy rain between Wichita and northern Oklahoma, though.

Thanx for being here!
