Mo' bettah!
I got a good days sleep, and the night was, all in all, pleasant. Especially when compared with the night before.
The first thing that I did when I got to work last night was to check on the guy that I mentioned yesterday; to my surprise and delight, he was doing much better than I expected. Than anyone expected, in fact.
I like it when that happens, since it so often goes the other way.
Either the other hospital wasn't on bypass, or noting much was happening in Topeka last night... it was a complete turn-around from the night before. I just did two CTs, and probably only about fifteen x-ray patients. This is the way that it should be.
I left right at 07:00, came home and took my pills and headed off to see the dentist. I stopped by the drug store on the way and left a prescription for some cough medicine, something a little more potent than what you can get over the counter.
The hygienist cleaned my teeth before the doc saw me... I really like this girl, she didn't hurt me at all. This is the same one that impressed me before. Did a good job, too.
The dentist had some bad news, though. I need to have another crown, well, two, but one can still be put off. I've got a "leaky filling" so if I don't get it fixed it'll be more serious. I was hoping to wait until January, when my insurance would kick in, but it's not to be.
Kim and Lacee are here now, Kim's going to do her taxes with my help tonight...
So I should be completely turned around tomorrow... and I want to try to get some stuff done around here, it's supposed to be a nice day, up to 75F or so. Thunderstorms tomorrow night! I like thunderstorm season.
I came home after picking up the script and read e-mail and surfed for a while, then I took a dose of cough medicine and went to bed and went right to sleep. I had the alarm set for 17:30 but I kept hitting the snooze until 18:00 when karen came in an woke me up.
