No philosophy today, not bitching. No much, anyways...
I had to go to sleep at 02:00 this morning, just couldn't make it any longer. Slept until 08:30 and that was it.
Along about mid-morning, the UPS man came, left the 550 board that I bought last week. Gonna be my linux machine. So I set to work setting it up. Fun, fun, fun... and I really mean that. Should be sleeping, though, so I did feel guilty, but then, I knew that I couldn't sleep anyway.
The mailman came knocking on the door about 14:00, and *he* had a package for me too... the memory that I'd ordered for the main machine. So now I've got almost everything, just waiting for a coupla 3.5-inch disk drives and a CD rom that I got for $5.
So I've got the new MB mounted and the HD in it and I "borrowed" a CDROM from another machine. But I can't get the Linux disk to load, I think that the drive must be dirty or something... I need to take it apart and clean it, but I just don't have the energy to do that right now.
I'm feeling sorry for the people in Seattle right now, but it appears that they got off pretty lucky, nobody killed so far, lotta damage but nothing really major.
Kinda waiting for Karen to get home, then I'm gonna try to take a nap. She'll be happy that the earthquake hit the news after her Young and the Restless was over!
