Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Y'know, some days, nothing happens, and I have to strain to think of something to write here.

Then there are days like today... I can't possibly do justice without spending the night typing.

So, briefly:

Got up, had a pot of coffee. So far, so good. Went to the post office, forgetting to take Karen's book club books back like I promised her that I would. Came home and started working on finishing up my credentialing for my job.

About 09:30 Kim called, wanted to know if Lacee could come over, she has a bad cold and stayed away from school today. Why, sure! I said. She got over here just as I was finishing up with the credentialing stuff.

Lacee was in a pretty good mood for being sick, and we had a pleasant afternoon.

Lacee and fluffy Then about 13:00 there was a knock on the door. The UPS man, with my new computer.

And I won't go into what happened for the rest of the day, I think that you can figger that out. It's now partially set up... and fast. Very fast. I like it. I've got it running on a 15-inch monitor right now, but that'll change in the very near future.

Now I need to figger out configurations... what I really want to do with stuff. Right now, I think that I'll do the internet stuff the way that it's set up now, and put mostly off-line stuff on the new machine, like the grafix programs and word processing on voice recognition. But first I've gotta get them all communicating, which is being more of a problem than it should be.

I got to see Tyler today too... he came over and did his taxes. He hasn't changed much since the last time that I saw him, but he's talking about moving out-of-state, for some reason or another. I wish that I could spend more time with him, dammit, he lives so close...

More snow on the way... winter isn't done with Kansas yet. Supposed to get eight inches by Wednesday night. I'll wait and see.

So, that's it in a nutshell. Todays picture is Lacee with Fluffy in a basket.

Thanx for being here!
