Natterings, Notions

Notes

So, I got up yesterday at 14:00, and still felt pretty bad. I called in and went back to bed and woke up twelve hours later.

And I feel much better, though I don't really want to eat anything just yet, other than crackers. Crackers are good. Milk sounds good, too, but I think that I'll stick with water. Come to think of it, a cuppa tea sounds really good too, maybe I'll try that.

And I feel guilty about calling in again. I gotta get over that, dammit.

I put in a bid this morning for an abit MB and a t-bird 100 processor, they had plenty on hand so I should get that one... I also bid on two 256MB P-133 memory sticks. Looking at yesterdays ads, I'll probably get the HD from Best Buy. I'm trying to decide if I want to just get a CDROM or maybe get a better burner for the new machine... I'm leaning the latter way, since the burner that I have is a 4X that I can never get to work right over 2X. Burner prices are way down too.

I was reading that low memory and chip prices are due to overstocking for xmas... and people just didn't buy enough computers at xmas! Thanx, people!

Even if I do get everything that I bid on, it'll probably be a coupla weeks before I get everything set up if all goes well. I can't wait to get started, though!

Even though I'm feeling better in general, my back and muscle aches are still there... need to take more pills, I guess. I forget about taking them until I really get uncomfortable, then it takes a coupla hours to work.

Headache, too, although that's been pretty low-grade, the muscle hurts have been taking precedence. Headaches hate that, y'know. They want to be the be-all and end-all of pain.

What I really need to do right now is tackle this big stack of bills on my desk. Jeez, seems like I just went through this last week.

I forgot to mention that we got the income tax back... that's what makes paying the bills possible, and buying the computer parts. It won't last long, though, and there won't be another one for another year. Regardless, buying computer parts is much more fun than paying bills... especially since a large part of it is the real estate taxes.

Maybe I'll just go back to bed for a while, maybe paying bills will sound like more fun when I wake up...

Thanx for being here!
