Ahhhh... I got all caught up on my sleep, I think.
Slept from 13:00 until 19:00, then from 23:00 until 06:00. Additionally, I'm feeling ambitious, quite unusual for me!
My ambition must be directed towards getting my desk cleaned off and my room cleaned up, though. No playing today, I'm afraid.
And with that piece of knowledge in the forefront of my brain, the ambition fades...
Well, OK, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Play later. I've got the Ventures playing, they're pretty upbeat, keep me going along that rocky road...

At St. Francis, we don't have a choice of banks to do the direct deposit... they go into Commerce. Well, I don't like Commerce, probably mostly because I don't like being forced to do something. So I write a check every two weeks to my bank, the Kansas Credit Union. Who I have been doing business with for twenty-some years.
So I check the amount and write a check to my bank, and I decide to go out to the new location and deposit it, since the new place is closer than the old one. I give the girl the check, and she tells me that the funds won't be available for three business days, not counting today.
What the hell? New rule, or just someone who doesn't know me? Not that it matters... I took the check back and went to Commerce and got cash and took it back. And I was really, really pissed.
And I will remain that way for a while, I think.
After that
While I was gone, I was de-fragging the main disk, took about three hours. Now I need to move a bunch of stuff off of it and de-frag it again, but it won't take nearly so long this time.
I got up way too early today, for I'm fading fast. Karen just got home from work, and she's in a rather bad mood... she went to the ice-capades last night, really enjoyed it, but it made for a late night, and she is not at her best when she's sleep-deprived.
Our plans for going to KC fell through, so we're going to go to Wichita instead, see Karen's Mom and sister and family... maybe not quite so much fun but ultimately more satisfying. I haven't been there for way too long... at least six months, I think.
I did wind up getting some CDRs at OfficeMax - $30 for 50, their sale was off, too, dammit. They were $15, on Sun-Mon-Tue.
So now I have to do a lot of burning, a very boring job, since I can't really use the machine for anything else when I'm doing that. But I need to free up some space, those porn movies are so big...
Warming up the chili that I made last week for supper. Lunch I had at TacoTico... the usual, two sanchos and a drink. They never change. I won't go so far as to say that they're good, but they're consistent.
Supposed to get some snow tonight, two or three inches. It's stayed away since xmas, we've been pretty lucky. Well, I guess that it did snow when I was in Texas with JD...
I got a jury duty notice today... I love jury duty. However, I'll probably have to pass this time, since we're so short on staff. I think that it can be postponed, so maybe I can do it sometime this summer, when we have more people, and I'm not doing nights.
Tard... chili and bed. Too early, so I'll probably get up really early again.... Tomorrow, I'll get stuff done.
Well, I've got a lot done so far. One of the piles (the big one) on my desk is gone, mostly into the trash. I still need to do more, but I've just got back from running errands and I'm not into it right now... I went to walgreens first, then to the bank to see if my pay had been deposited.
fiasco, I went to Office Depot to look around and get some CDRs. The sale was off, so I thought that I'd go by OfficeMax later... went by the Topeka Cat Association and got some cat food and met Betsy there. She started CAT about 12 years ago, and Karen and I signed up as volunteers shortly thereafter... I've been on the board (for about five years) but I quit that for lack of time... I set up their computer system when they were still using DOS, and most of the programs (I set it up with FoxPlus, back in my database days...) and interfacing are still in use. Anyway, we had a good time catching up (Betsy owns the pond that I fish) and making plans to "get together sometimes..."
