JD and I got up late again... we had wanted to take his truck down to the shop early, but we didn't get there until 08:30 or so.

We spent most of the morning lounging around, kinda waiting for the auto place to call us back... we got bored enough to go on a walk. Instead of taking the road, we went east on the railroad tracks, thinking that it might be more interesting.

It wasn't. Pretty boring, made more so by the fact that we had to watch every step that we made because of the rough footing... the railroad ties. I did take the camera along and got a coupla pictures... not very impressive, but I put this one in my image-editing program and fancied it up a little bit...

We got home and checked the message machine... no message. JD finally called the garage about 13:30 and they hadn't started working on it yet. We had got it there too late or something like that. Anyway, no problem, not like we were going anywhere or going to be doing anything...

We decided to go get gas and air in my vehicle and buy me some cigarettes... when we were at the gas station I noticed and older lady in an old cadillac looking confused, but she left before I could ask her if I could help her. After I filled up the tank, we pulled around to the air pump and there she was, trying to figger out how to put air in her tire. I offered to help her and had JD put fifty cents in the compressor. The lady was very surprised... she'd read the sign that said "Free Water" and figgered the air was free, too. She was very embarrassed and made JD take a dollar bill... even though it was me that did the work.

Justice is a funny thing, heh.

When we got home we found that Karen had called twice... I spent a while trying to get ahold of her and finally did. She told me that she was suddenly getting a cold, and that Matt had been sick yesterday... lotsa people getting a 24-hour bug. Boy, I hope I missed it, being out of town and all!

Anyway, I'll be leaving early in the AM and driving straight through to Topeka. The weather is supposed to start getting nicer, both here and there, so I won't run into anything nasty.

Tomorrow's entry will be kinda late....

Thanx for being here!
