Another short night/long day... I went to bed about 01:00 this morning, and JD said that he and Annette (who I really really like) went to sleep about 02:00 or so.

Last night I had told Karen that I would call her at Kims, she was supposed to be staying all night with Lacee. Well, I got no answer at 23:55, I figgered that they were outside watching the fireworx or something. I tried again shortly after 24:00 and still no answer... I figgered that they'd gone to bed... they're none of them really party people, they need their sleep.

But Karen called about 00:10... plans had been changed, she and Lacee were at our house. They had gone outside with the pots and pans...

Tyler called a little later, both JD and I talked to him for a while, he had been celebrating pretty good, but at least he'd stayed at home.

I mentioned to JD that he and I had had only one woman between us last new years and this one...

Anyway, I got up about 08:30, slept pretty late for me... I checked outside, no snow, no nuthin', just cold for this part of the country. I woke JD and Annette up before 10:00, actually Annette got up about a half-hour before JD did, I had to do a second call for him...

The K-state ball game started at 10:00 and lasted until about 14:00... long game, but it came out the way I wanted it to... they looked pretty damned good. As did Oregon State, who I cheered for tonight... in fact, that game is still going on right now. 41-3 against Notre Dame, a team that I used to cheer for but don't any more.

Between games, we tried to think of something to do in Huntsville, but we came up empty, The bowling alley was closed, we didn't want to go to a bar to play pool, and Wal-mart was open but we didn't need anything, so we just stayed at home.

Annette has to go to work in the morning, and she just left for the 90-minute drive to get home... she lives in an apartment near that famous Houston shopping center, I forget the name, but Karen and I went there a coupla years ago.

So JD and I are just sitting here, kinda watching the game, kinda listening to some far-out radio station on the computer, he's reading a book and I'm kinda writing and figgering out this editing program. At least I found out how to change the font color.

I don't think that I'm gonna stay up too much longer, though, it's damned near 23:00 and I'm tired...
