Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Well, I said I was gonna do it, and I did it.

Yep, I've officially applied for the CT job. A daytime job.

My supervisor was enthusiastic about it. I think that she was, anyway. Hell, who knows what goes through her mind?

I'm enthusiastic, anyway.

Last night was kinda bad, once again, and I thought to myself, "Nobody on days has to work this hard!" They don't have to move gigantic 300-pound patients by themselves... they don't have to shuffle priorities constantly...

I want to be one of Them!

Well, honestly, I can't really ever be one of Them... but I can work days. It will be a nice break.

And I think that why I don't like to do CTs is because I'm always under a lot of pressure to get other patients done at the same time, and CT exams take quite a bit of time. Not to actually do the exam, but all of the other stuff associated with the exam. And while I'm doing a CT, the other patients just keep piling up.

So, if all that I was doing was CTs... sounds pretty pud, I think. Plus it's going to get easier with some new technology...

Anyway, when I was talking to my supervisor I told her that I wanted to come in at 21:00 instead of 19:00 tonight, so I could sleep another coupla hours.

My plans this morning were to go over to Joes and get his new computer set up, and he called me about a quarter to seven to let me know that I should head out ASAP... it had been snowing all night long, and he was listening to the police scanner and there were several injury accidents already. He knew that I could get caught up in some heavy trauma if I tarried...

So I was outa there at 07:05... I had his computer pretty much going within an hour or so, all except for the modem, and my brain wasn't operating all that well by then, so I deferred that to another day.

And it's still snowing, but it's tapering off. It didn't start until about 20:30 last night, and we got about four inches. Slick roads, though.

Three more nights.

Thanx for being here!
