First off, merry xmas, everyone!
Yesterday Karen woke me up with the phone in her hand... it was Lisa, and her grandma had died about 15:00. It was Lisas' mothers' birthday, too. Lorene (Lisas' mom) was pretty shook up when I talked to her yesterday morning before I came home, she's probably a real basket case now. Anyway, Lisa called to tell me how much she appreciated me being her grandmas' friend for all these years. I wasn't really awake when I started talking to her... I'm not much of a conversationalist before I've had coffee...
Last night the other hospital went off of bypass, but it didn't seem to help very much, I still had to run most of the night... but I did get to sit down and eat, and the meal was a freebie. Ham and kinda candies yams and pumpkin or pecan pie... I had one of each, Joe didn't want his pecan pie, and I just couldn't resist.
Karen was wanting to go to Wichita today, but there is a winter storm watch out for today and tomorrow, and it's still damned cold, so I think that she won't be going... not if I can help it, anyway. If I was going with her I wouldn't mind, but I don't want her driving in bad weather by herself. And I'm going to be sleeping...
Only four more nights this rotation... I'm looking forward to not working.
And tomorrow I'm gonna tell the supervisor that I want the CT job... we'll see what happens.
