I was wrong about being able to sleep every other day... yesterday was a bummer, too... I got six hours' worth. Not enough to carry me through the complete bitch of a night that was last night.
The other hospital has been on bypass for the last three days, so we're getting all of the critical patients. No supper again, dammit, no sit-down time at all.
Lisa's grandmother has taken a major turn for the worse... she needs to have surgery, and she's refusing... she wants to just go ahead and die. I haven't seen Lisa since Ruby (her grandmother) came in... we just keep missing each other.
Anyway, it's not assured that she'll make it through the day.
Now back to my problems... we're having xmas here today, which means that once again I won't get enough sleep... but I'll have enough fun to make up for it, I hope.
I've been wearing my xmas tree earring the last coupla days, hoping to get in the mood, but it hasn't worked at all. Soon it'll be all over and I won't have to worry any more about it.
