Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Ah, well. He who would be king, he who would restore dignity and honor and integrity to the white house... well, he appears to have none of those qualities.

Not that this is news to anyone... and not that Gore has much in the way of integrity either... just thought that I'd mention it.

Getting a DUI isn't that bad. Hell, I've had one myself. I don't think that I've ever tried to cover it up, though.

I'm not running for public office, either.

The cover-up. Well, not really a cover-up, per se... just not mentioning it. Well, maybe lying just a little bit, to protect his daughters... the way Clinton was lying just a little bit, to protect Hillary.

And the Bush campaign people are complaining about the timing... right before the election. Gee, they wanted to wait until at least *after* the election, y'know... they're also complaining that it's a democratic ploy. However, they're not denying the facts.

And then there's the abortion deal. It seems that GW's GF at the time (1970?) had an abortion, according to Larry Flynt. Now, don't dismiss Flynt out of hand... after all, he has forced people out of office because they were afraid that he would let loose of some facts about them. Well, that's kinda like blackmail, isn't it? But... he kept the facts to himself after they resigned, which bestows upon him some kinda honor, I think.

But the point here is... it was before abortion was legal. Which makes all parties criminals.

And all parties knew this... they had to.

Well, maybe not... GW isn't all that bright, is he. But ignorance of the law, as we know, is no excuse. Depending on what the meaning of "is" is...

OK, enough politics. I sure will be glad when it's all over, me.

Up early again this morning, and again with a headache. Lasted all day, with the intensity dependant on when I took the Tylenol. I think that maybe it has something to do with my lack of caffeine intake lately... I've only been drinking one pot of caffinated coffee a day (and I split that with Karen) and then it's decaf the rest of the day.

Anyway, I sanded the wall again, and Karen and I decided that the insets weren't really pretty enough, so I got out the mud again for yet another coat on the insides of that. I might be done after I sand tomorrow morning, and I might not.

Karen worked this morning, and I piddled around and got nothing done but feel sorry for my head.
Patrick and Lacee
After she got off work, she went by and picked up Kim and Patrick and Lacee and them came by and got me and we went out to Target. We bought various and sundry things, then went to eat at Boston Market (not too bad) and then we took Lacee to
Lacee
Ward-Mead park for a birthday party. We wandered around the place for a while and took some pictures to finish up the vacation roll.

After dropping Lacee off, we went to Walgreens where we dropped off the film and I picked up some scripts and we made various and sundry other purchases. Came home and went to work on the wall.

Shortly after dark, along comes Kim and Lacee... Patrick is with his dad, I guess. Anyway, the girls all went out to the new DIllons store and got... you guessed it... various and sundry products.

Karen and Kim watched the KU basketball game and the radio music awards (terrible music, IMO) and I came in here and won 20 games in a row of Free Cell.

And I'm way too tired to hot tub tonight again, dammit. Anyway, more tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
