Up early again, dammit. Even before Karen's alarm clock went off at 05:30, and I've been draggin' all day.
Lacee was sick again today, so she stayed with me. We kinda had fun, me in here, her watching cartoons most of the day. She is just so damned cute! She's losing another of her baby teeth, this time a lower incisor. She's pretty much over her cold, but she has a persistent hacking non-productive cough.
Me, I woke up with a headache and I took a coupla pills and it went away mostly. For a while, but it returned with a vengeance after Karen and I ate tonight.
Getting ahead of myself here.
Last night, Karen and I went hot-tubbing, and it was wonderful! I can't believe that we've been without it for two years, but it's been that long at least. There are still some minor leaks, but they'll wait for another day. And when the heater comes on, there's a relay chattering that is rather irritating... I'll have to look into that, too. Again, later.
Slept like a baby last night though. A hot tub is definitely relaxing.
Anyway, I didn't get too much done today with Lacee here, but I don't think that I would have anyway. I worked on the dry wall over the bar, and I think that all I'm gonna do now is sand it and paint it... I still have to make and stain the shelves, but that's a relatively minor project. On the dry wall, well, there will be some imperfections. I can live with that and, like I told Karen, if anyone doesn't like it I'll loan them the tools to make it perfect, 'cause I don't really care any more.
So Karen and I went out to eat at the New China Inn, my favorite place lately. Good meal and excellent company, as usual. About the time that we were ready to leave my headache came back and I was toying with the idea of having Karen drive home, although she hates to drive after dark. We made it home OK, though, and I took a coupla more pills and it's better but still there.
But it's still bad enough so that I'm gonna skip the hot tub tonight though and just go straight to bed, and I'm gonna do that now...
