Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Pretty good night, it was. Lotsa work early, then it tapered off really well. As I was going out of the department, I noticed that the director's door was open and I chewed the fat with him for a while. Well, he thought that I was venting, but I wasn't really.

Speaking of work, I didn't give Joe proper credit for clueing me in on the time-and-a-half policy... Joe, thanx from the bottom of my heart.

It seems like I have runs of bad patients... part of what made last night so good is that I had a run of good patients. Only one real whiner, and he's a regular.

Although it was a good night, my legs and feet and back are aching... probably from those recently previous nights that weren't good, ya reckon? O'well, only five more nights. I was thinking of doing some more fill-in work, but I think that maybe I won't unless they're really desperate. Which they probably will be.

The recent vacation was filled up with activity... lots of fun, but those two days driving back... well, you've read the story. Well, maybe not, since I haven't written it yet... that's what I need to do on my time off. That, and sleep.

Writing this journal is generally restful, but making up those vacation entries seems to be a problem. Not because they weren't fun, but because I want to do them justice, have them really say how much fun I had with Karen and Dan and Lynn and Sam. Fortunately, nobody is on the edge of their seats waiting for them.

OK. Pills and bed. More tomorrow.

Thanx for being here!
