Poor Karen had to go to work today, dammit. I miss her. Not that I didn't have other things to occupy my time... I had a pretty full afternoon.
I got up about 08:30 and goofed off until noon, when I had an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. The gal did a wonderful job, I never screamed or bit her or anything. Seriously, it was the best dental cleaning experience that I've ever had... and it's been a coupla years since I've had it done, too.
Then I went to pick up some 'scripts at Walgreens, and the pictures that I'd dropped off yesterday. I tore into the photo envelope when I got home, and I was terribly disappointed... they were pictures that Lacee had taken... there was a roll missing, dammit!
I called the store and well, gee, they had forgotten to give me the second one. So I make another trip and pick them up. This time I check the pics before I leave, just to be sure that I didn't get somebody else's photos.
More disappointment!
No, the pics were all good... but the roll that I really was anxious to see was still in the camera, dammit!
So... still in the camera, pictures of Renee and Stuart and Erica and some of the Smokies. We still have 12 pictures to go... I think that I will have to do some picture-taking around here...
However, I do have some beach pictures for today... 'cause I went out and got a cheap scanner! Yep, I just couldn't stand it any more. So, without further ado... (click the image for larger ones...)
I did get started on several entries from the trip today, but I kinda fizzled out. When Karen got home, she said that she thought that I would have made chili. Well, I suddenly got my mouth set for chili, so off I go to the store. Got the assorted ingredients and came home and made it, and it was delicious! I do make the world's best chili, y'know... at least from my viewpoint.
It started raining/drizzling as I was leaving for the store, and it's mostly continued doing that all night, except for a pretty good thunderstorm mid-evening. More tomorrow, then Friday it should clear out and give us our first freeze of the year. I'm still loving the cooler weather... Tuesday was pretty hot, we had to turn on the AC.
More tomorrow...
