Interesting night.
Nah, not interesting, mostly just a bitch. There were some interesting parts, but I didn't have time to enjoy them. Ran all night, the full twelve hours. Well, almost thirteen, I didn't get out of there until almost 08:00...
Early on in the evening I did a CT on a guy who had asked some people to stop shooting off fireworks near his home. Have I mentioned it's been dry lately? And hot? Anyway, these "kids" were shooting roman candles at each other in a wooded area... really stupid. But they were highly offended when this guy asked them to leave or quit, and beat the shit out of his face. His wife was also injured, but not nearly so badly. The kids are locked up, or they were anyway. Probably very temporarily so.
Other than that, it was one damned thing after another. And another. And another.
I didn't even check my email when I got home, just showered and went to bed. Then I woke up at 14:30 and decided to get up instead of just laying there and trying to get back to sleep. Taking affirmative action here... yeah, it was MY idea to just get five hours of sleep. Sleeping is way over-rated.
I'll be just fine once I get this first pot of coffee down...
The weather... I think that we might be getting a break. It's only about 95F right now, which really feels pretty cool. Supposed to get some t-storms tonight, then the high tomorrow will be 88F. I am so ready for autumn! Well, I'm not really ready, I've got a lot of stuff that I need to get done before the snow flies, but I'm psychologically ready for some cool, wet (WET! WET, I say!) weather.
Right now I need to go down to the basement and check the sewer and do some major clean-up if it's dried out any by now... trash man comes tomorrow...
