Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Easy, easy night. Not much work, and what there was was interesting. I learned how to do a new exam on the CT and read a lot.

I mentioned Isaacs Storm earlier this week, and now I'm really getting into it. It's about the hurricane that hit Galveston 100 years ago this coming week. Pretty neat, huh.

Speaking of weather... there are thunderstorms in the area, but the damned rain is evaporating before it hits the ground. Nice lightning, though. Supposed to get up to 105F again today... it was 110F again yesterday, Karen said.

It will soon be getting cold, though, and those greedy bastards over at the gas company are rubbing their hands together in glee. The price of natural gas, they say, is going up fourfold. They want to be as rich as the people who own the oil companies.

Much of the NG is produced right here in Kansas... it looks like that would somehow make it cheaper here. Just a thought, I know that it doesn't work that way. If somebody in Canada is willing to pay four times as much, why, then, that's the going rate.

Where's the damned government when you need them? O'yeah, there they are... on the way to the bank.

Starting the twelves tonight. When those are over, so is the smoking.

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
