And it was hot yesterday again, as it will be through next Tuesday at least. I sleep through the worst of it, of course. I did get ten hours yesterday and I felt pretty rested when I got up for a change.
One of the reasons is that I started using the CPAP machine again. I've only been using it off and on since the start of summer, mostly because of a constantly stuffy nose. I refilled my prescription for Nasonex, though, and that helps a lot... but it's damned expensive.
Another thing that will help a lot will be quitting smoking. Still looking forward to it, and I can kinda dispassionately observe my habits lately. I don't really seem to have the urge to smoke, but I continue smoking just as much as before... most of time, I just want to take a break from whatever I'm doing.
I'm going down to pick up my last carton of cigarettes... I'll probably give the last few packs away.
I borrowed a book from an ER nurse, Isaacs Storm, and got the first few chapters read... great book, if you like storms, which I do. I decided to leave the book at work and read on it there instead of bringing it home... stretch it out a little longer. Besides, I'm now on the second book of the Harry Potter series at home.
And I've got that on the headboard, so I just read it while I'm trying to go to sleep.
Speaking of which...
I need to change something about sleeping. What I'm kinda thinking is maybe I should just come home and take my pills and go to bed, not even get on the computer, then wake up several hours before I need to go to work. This seems kinda wasteful, 'cause then I can't really start any projects or anything, but on the other hand I might get more sleep.
But my sleeping problems lately seem to happen around the turn-arounds, so maybe that's not an answer. Hell, I have no idea what the answer might be... retire and sleep whenever I want to? Right. In another 15 years, maybe...
More tomorrow...
Last night was busy up until around 02:00... I just barely had time to get to the cafeteria and grab a sandwich before they closed. After 02:00, though, everything died... no action at all, so I got caught up on my paperwork.
