Another night gone... and it was a pretty good night. Especially for a Friday, and even more especially when you consider the doc that was on in the ED...
And I did get a good day's sleep yesterday, nine hours straight. But right now I'm almost too tired to hold my head up. Just being at work is tiring, I guess, even if I don't have to work that hard.
JD made it back to Texas, got an email from him yesterday. The house seems pretty empty with both Tyler and him gone...
And, speaking of Tyler, he was here yesterday and I got to talk to him a while... he's doing good, staying straight, likes his job... maybe, despite all of my misgivings, I did actually do the right thing. And he seems to be pretty happy about everything.
I need to go to sleep, but I think that Lacee may have spent the night... that was the plan (hers) but Karen said that she wasn't going to remind her of it, so I won't know until I get in the bedroom.
I had a patient last night who had been assaulted, 30 years old and a big guy. He told me that he'd never gotten his ass kicked before, and I believed him... it took five guys to do it, though. And, amazingly, this guy was sober! He was not injured badly, and he did seem to be a pretty nice guy, although I would not like to meet him in a dark alley. In reality, I would not like to meet anybody in a dark alley, that's why I don't frequent dark alleys... there's always that chance that you would meet someone.
