JD and Tyler came in last night after I'd uploaded... they spent the night burning CDs and DLing music. Tyler said that he'd gone to bed about 05:00 or so.
But they were both up by noon and gone back to Lawrence by 14:00... JD said that he'd be back by midnight, and Tyler is going to go to work at 08:00 in the morning... his first day on a real job!
Lacee... well, Lacee was going to go to a model tryout yesterday, but she decided that she didn't want to go all of a sudden. Karen had told me about it earlier, but I thought that I'd heard the day wrong when they didn't go anywhere.
It turns out that Patrick had told Lacee that she had to be naked to be a model, so Lacee decided that she didn't want to do that. She probably wondered why her mother and grandma would want her to do that, too... Anyway, that got straightened out. Evidently, Patrick was mistaking the "models" in his dad's magazines for real models...
As I have mentioned before, I can't sleep in the same bad with Lacee... she moves all night long. Well, last night I didn't really feel like moving her to the couch, so I just got into bed and moved her over towards Karen and went to sleep. Karen said that Lacee soon crawled over her and out of bed... Karen thought that she was going to the bathroom, but she didn't come back. Karen got worried and got up to check, and there was Lacee on the couch.
The little brat said that I snored!
So anyway, that problem is now solved. The problem being that Lacee wants to sleep with Grandma and me.
I did get all of the files from my project done this morning, but I haven't started to analyze them yet. Interestingly, many people who have quit have posted a message saying that they've quit, which made things a lot easier for me. And I arbitrarily decided that a journal that hasn't updated in three months without stating a reason and a restart time was going to be declared dead.
20:02...
BOO! We're gonna get some rain... and JD and I had planned on going fishing tomorrow. O'well, maybe Tuesday will work better.
Much later...
I stood outside as the front was rolling in... it was deathly still, and humid as hell, with lightning all around... I could hear the wind coming from about a mile away from the sound that it makes in the trees. There wasn't that much wind, it's just that it was so still before. And when it got here, the temperature dropped immediately, as did the humidity.
Kansas is notable for it's storms... well, the midwest is, in general, but Kansas is... mostly because of the tornados. But I don't mind at all, you know, I just hate boring weather.
Well, it's way past my bedtime...
YAY! We're gonna get some rain! Well, probably, anyway.
I just love thunderstorms. One really additional benefit to this one... it will be bringing some relief from the heat. Only mid-eighties on Monday! I do believe that it's supposed to rain all day and part of the day on Tuesday...
