Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Up early again today, dammit. I need to sleep in just one time.... like JD did. Noon, it was, when he arose.

Pretty much a do-nothing day... we didn't get anything done. Redundancy is my middle name, between the first and the last ones.

Brian was here all day, of course. I think that I confuse him. Or something has, anyway. And I do confuse many people, children and adults alike. And the more childish they are, the more delight I take in confusing them...

I know, but I'm just mean that way. Been that way all of my life, after I figgered out how to not let them confuse me.

After Karen got home and watched her show, we all went to Lawrence to take Brian home. After we got him home, we stopped by Gumby's, the place where Tyler works, and visited with him for a while, then we went to Old Chicago and had a sandwich. Tyler had recommended that we not eat a Gumby's pizza, since we were sober...

Driving home, we noticed some huge thunderheads in the west, and we're hoping that they get here... because we're not going to water. So they have to, y'know. They can't let us down... they're right there on the radar, heading this way, and we're in the middle of an area on the map that's supposed to get an inch of rain...

JD took Brian down to Hastings this afternoon and got a coupla movies... JD and Brian watched one, Anaconda; I caught parts of it... a really lousy show, unless you like that sort of thing. Lousy shows, I mean. It had all of the makings of its genre... lots of flesh showing on the women, muscles on the men, violence, action.... thoroughly superficial, stupid and absolutely predictable. Of course, I only watched parts of it, so what do I know?

The other movie, the one that we can watch now that Karen's gone to bed, is Dogma. I've been looking forward to seeing it for a long time now, and tonight's the night.

Thanx for being here!
