Never made it work yesterday. Went to sleep, finally, about 21:00 or so, I can't really remember...
And then I woke up seven or eight times during the night. I finally got up about 08:00, when Karen and Lacee were leaving for work. Yep, Karen was working on Saturday, and she took Lacee with her. She wasn't planning on working very long, though... the AC was being worked on there.
And, speaking of Karen, she has a birthday coming up... #60. She's wanting to go to Wichita to see her Mom and sister, to celebrate... she has off Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday is the big day.
I got very little done today... just messing around on the computers. And I'm worried about Tyler... he worked yesterday afternoon and evening, but he didn't come home. Nor did he come home today... he was going to a concert in Lawrence tonight, the Legendary Pink Dots.
I'm afraid that he's fallen off of the wagon, dammit. I don't know for sure, but...
The AC here is flaking out, and I think that it's the thermostat, so I went out tonight and bought a new one. About ten years ago, I put in one of those fancy electronic ones, and I've never been really happy with it, so I got one of the old round Honeywells. Electromechanical. No battery, just set it and that's what the temperature is. Until you change it.
I haven't got around to putting it in yet, though, right now the old one is working just fine.
I guess that I've given up on the Linux solution for right now... I've put the internet sharing back on the main machine again. I haven't been able to get it working yet, though.
Hmmm.... seems that was why I wanted to do the Linux thing. Perhaps, just perhaps, I don't have a knack at this, anyway.
Not that that's gonna stop me...
