Last night made up quite well for the three relatively quiet ones that I had. I ran most of the night, and my feet and legs hurt like hell after I got home. O'well.
Before I left last night, I went downstairs and Tyler was in bed. He said that he had a job at a book bindery... I didn't believe him, but I let it pass, since I had to get to work and he was obviously asleep when I went down there.
As I said yesterday, I can't really believe anything that he says regarding working or dope... self-deception follows the deception of other people.
And I haven't seen him today, I think that he was up all night. If I let him, he will continue to be *MY* problem...
I have been working today. Not steadily, but working nonetheless. I got the front deck cleaned off again, all ready to stain. Tomorrow morning I'll stain the redwood, then I'll get some heavier-pigmented stain for the CCA decking. The redwood should be dry by tomorrow, it's pretty warm and there's a good breeze from the south. That stuff sure does soak up the stain, but it sure does look pretty...
After getting the front deck done, I took the ladder around to the side and cleaned the north gutter out... it was growing little trees. One of these years I'll get to it before it does that... it's in pretty bad shape, with quite a few holes rusted through it. I really should replace it...
I then proceeded to the back deck, and I managed to get about 200 square feet of deck done, and then I realized that I didn't have a hat on, and I was wearing sandals, and the sun was shining...
Additionally, my back was going out on me, starting to cramp up from holding the power washer wand. So yeah, it was time to quit.
And I'm having a helluva time with Karen's computer... can't get the network to work on it at all. So I'm trying to put W2K on it too... but it doesn't like the hard disks... or more likely, the controller. The MB is an older one, and the disks need the additional program (EZ-HD) to load right.
And... I'm still doing this in notepad, since I haven't got my software from the old disk, '
cause the network won't network... which also means no spellchecker. So please don't be too critical. O'yeah, if you were very critical at all you wouldn't be reading this in the first place, would you?
Well, I think that I'll take a shower... kicked up a lot of dirt with that power-washer, and about half of it got on me, I think. Then I'll go wake up Tyler and talk to him.
