I had a much better day sleeping yesterday... eleven (11!) hours... didn't even have to get up to pee.
I told you I was tard!
Well, I was actually tard again, so I guess I was re-tard, heh.
And not a bad night at work, either. Fairly busy most of the night, but nothing that I couldn't cheerfully handle with eleven hours of sleep under my belt.
Did have one problem, though... the main CT machine was scheduled to go down for some work on the internal power, so I was supposed to use the Ultra-Z in the Radiotherapy department.
No problem, really. So I got paged (during dinner, natch) to do a coupla CT patients. Well, OK, I trotted down to radiotherapy to warm the machine up.
Well, the damned machine was off... there was no power. Someone had traced the schematics wrongly and decided that the two machines were on different mains, but they aren't.
Luckily, they were in the latter stages of fixing the problem, and the main machine was up in a half-hour, and I was able to get the patients done.
The ER doc was a mite upset about the delay, though. Too bad. Neither of the patients were in critical condition, luckily, or we would have transferred them to the other hospital.
Right before I left, I got to do a CT exam of a thoracic spine, which I'd never done before. It was interesting, and I think that it proved that what looked like a fracture on the plain films that I'd taken earlier wasn't... although I didn't get the radiologist's report on it.
After work, I went over to Eileene's to try once again to get her digital camera going. Spent a coupla hours with no luck whatsoever. Very frustrating. Brought the camera home and DLed the pix she wanted on Karen's machine then sent them off to Eileene.
I gotta convince her to buy a new machine somehow.
OK, dammit, it's way past my bedtime. Only seven more nights to go...
