Well, I did get some little ambition today... I started staining the deck... or rather, the trim/benches/rail on the deck.
And I was brought to remember the last time that I did that. The time that I used the sprayer and got deathly sick for about three days. Luckily, today I was just using a brush, and the fumes weren't that bad... but I was still pretty affected, especially breathing.
So, anyway, better now. Showered and shaved, getting ready to go to sleep... I could possibly get in four hours before I have to get up, that would be pretty nice.

I couldn't get to sleep at all, at all. Wasted a lot of time trying, though, gotta give me credit for that.
I'll bet that I sleep really good tomorrow. I just hope that I can make it through tonight.
Got a little rain here, and a little thunder. Not very much of either. Need rain. Damn. I'm starting to sound like an old farmer or sumthin'.
I've decided that I'm just gonna work about an hour every morning on staining the deck, not push my luck with the fumes. It would be nice to have a little breeze while I'm working, too.
That old redwood is really sucking up the stain, though. And it looks really pretty when it's done, too. Worth the effort, probably. The next project on the front deck is installing the lights that I bought five years ago... but I don't want to use the crummy plastic housings for the lights, I want to build redwood ones to match the railings and benches.
Nice argument today on diary-l... school vouchers. I see it as an issue where the xians are trying to nibble away at the separation "problem", but other people seem to think that it's a tax deal, and others that it's an education deal. I think that we're all right, but I'm more right than they are...
Of course, it's pretty well known where I'm coming from, isn't it?
Well, if I hurry, I can drink another pot of coffee before I have to go to work... more tomorrow.
And I only got about halfway done before I gave up on it and came inside, sweating like a pig... it was pretty warm outside, but that wasn't the whole story.
